Incoming Changes to the Honda Fit in 2012

Everyone here at Honda of Frontenac knows that the Honda Fit is one versatile vehicle. The hatchback from the Big H packs an envious fuel economy, spacious interior cargo room, and a style unlike any other. While it isn't due for a redesign for another couple years, there are some changes coming to the 2012 model that we thought you'd like to hear about to both the vehicles interior and exterior.

In 2012, the Sport variant of the Honda Fit will be equipped with a slightly different grille. It will feature black matte coloring around the headlights and blinkers. Meanwhile, the alloy wheels will gain a darker, smoother, machined look. Finally, the Fit Sport's side view mirrors have a similar machined look. Different, however, will be the base model's mirrors, which are set to be the same color as the body of the vehicle.

And, speaking of body. We feel as though we should make mention to the two new paint color options available with the fit in 2012. They are Orange Burst Metallic and Blue Raspberry Metallic.

Staying true to the exterior color scheme, Honda has added some interesting upgrades to the Fit's interior. It will feature "dark metallic dashboard components for a unified color theme."1 Meanwhile, all Fit models will also feature "added sound insulation measures"2 in order to reduce noise and increase the overall driving experience.

Two things that won't change in the 2012 Honda Fit, however, are its feisty engine and incredible fuel economy. Rather, the Fit will still feature the 1.5-liter, four-cylinder producing 117 horsepower that we all know and love, along with its EPA rated at 28 miles per gallon city, 35 highway fuel economy.
